A very heavy topic but I thought I should contribute in my own way …
Raj Thackeray - a man unknown to the world, known to a very small section in Maharashtra and even smaller section across India. He wakes up as always in his home in Mumbai and decides to read the newspaper along with his morning tea. He starts with the first page and proceeds to read the entire newspaper until he reads the last piece of news in it. He does this for a few days and he is shocked, for the unthinkable had happened. He was devastated. He never thought this would happen to him. He never imagined that there would be such days in his life where his name would not appear in any of the leading newspapers. So he picks up the headline that appeared on his day of realization and decides to build a story so that he would have something in the news for him to read about himself. Such is the obsession a person can have towards fame.
Unfortunately, for Amitabh Bachchan, the newspaper mentioned his decision to build a school in UP on the front page that day. To make news one can stoop to a level that would put the country at stake. The kind of remarks that were heard from Raj Thackeray would never come from a person who dearly cares about the peace and prosperity of his nation. Quoting strong regional statements is a sure cause of unrest in the country, being well aware of this fact, such statements were published.
This is like a well thought plan. Let me guide you as to what must have gone through his head. ‘I split from my uncle .. I formed a new party … nobody really knows whats happening with me or my party, I am not in news any more. How do I showcase myself … make strong regional or religion based comments and I would be in the lime light.’ As easy as it can get.
We Indians, the hard working section of the society, are not the ones to be blamed. The ads we see on TV .. ‘tum chalo toh Hindustan chale’ .. very nice to see and hear. Lets get to reality and lets state some facts.
Who or what is the root cause of political violence … politicians and their goons. How many people from my house or your house are involved in these political riots … NONE. These are paid goons who care for no one but themselves and label themselves as common people. I wish there was a vacuum cleaner invented that would suck this kind of dirt from our country. There will be dirty politicians, they will have paid goons and these fights will continue forever.
This is my unperturbed opinion on the political crisis in India.

I totally agree...very well thought and written...looks like this is your first blog...welcome to the world of blogging...is this gonna be a political blog...hope to see lot many blogs on varied topics....cheers!!!
What other topics are you interested in?
anonymous 1&2:- This indeed is my first blog. Was too agitated by the happenings in India and thought what better way to let out frustration than pen it down. Thanks for your comments. There are so many things in the world one could write about, I may not restrict my self to just politics. All I can say is keep watching this space :)
Very well said…and I second that. It is highly unfortunate that in a time when India is growing at such a graceful pace, people like Raj Thackeray are playing these cheap political stunts. This particular incident in Maharashtra is a perfect example of how politicians are using regionalism to instill hatred among people of same race. Politicians are always focused on winning next election and unfortunately a small percentage of their followers fail to see the big picture and easily get brain washed with such ideologies. Hopefully, with more positive media and positive role models, such incidents will reduce over course of time.
Well, I am hoping to see more from you.....
Neetha:- "positive media and positive role models" - lets hope this big change happens at drastic pace. I like the positive note in your comment, my blog missed that. Thanks for your input.
i hope it not too late and you are not averse to a little disagreement on the issue!
While I agree that Raj is wrong..one must also note why does he get so much support! Apart from this.if you do a little research..u wud notice that when it comes to railway exams in bihar..they are less advertised and majorly given to biharis.
Maharashtra has people from all other states..but why are they only against UP and Bihar?
Its not surprising he gets so much support. One more thing to note is all this crap started only after the UPites and Biharis decided to invite lalu in mumbai for the chhatth Puja. now one might argue whats wrong in it..but u know its all politics.
While I know Raj is to blame..so are the other politicians (including CM of MH) who have absolutely done nothing and that is why ppl are angry..and then its easy to take advantage of it!
In the end i wud say keep up the good work! :)
Andy:- No its never to late to voice your opinions :). I really like the way you have expressed your thoughts.
I understand what you are trying to convey through your message. But my point is that there are better ways to handle this issue than resort to violence. India is already facing a lot of problem due to the Hindu-Muslim rift, we did not need a State rift following that. I cannot side a person who for his own personal gain disregards the peace of our country. As per me, country comes first .. how can you protect your home when there is unrest all around. Also it is wrong to side such selfish people. Sorry if my thoughts do not comply with you ideas .. but this is an open forum .. so feel free to leave your comments :)
Cool! Just for the record..I absolutely condemn the violent way of handling such issues!
How about a new topic!
